A historical tour across Georgia

A tour across Georgia where we visit famous historical sites in seven days (and six nights).

FIRST DAY – TBILISI.

Arrival to Tbilisi, transfer from the airport and accomodation in the hotel.
Exploring of Tbilisi and dinner at a picturesque restaurant.

SECOND DAY – KAKHETI.

Breakfast at the hotel in Tbilisi.
Departure to the eastern part of Georgia – Kakheti. We will visit Telavi – the museum “Tsinandali”. We will visit the unique park, the winery in which cellars the most ancient wines are stored. We will have a wine tasting containing the best wines (5 grades).
Departure to “Signagi” – the city of love. We visit a wine cellar in Signagi, tasting of various wine brands and the Georgian spirit – chacha.
Further on we visit the convent of Bodbe and to the sources of Saint Nino (a walk of approx 30 min.).
We return to Tbilisi and stay over night here.

THIRD DAY – MTSKHETA AND GUDAURI

Breakfast at the hotel in Tbilisi.
Departure to Mtskheta – the most ancient city of Georgia. We visit the cathedral “Svetitskhoveli”, the monastery “Samtavro”, which was built in the 11th century. We will stop by the Jvari Monastery, where we will have a great panorama of the ancient capital of Georgia.
Further on we continue on the Georgian Military Road to the fortress and monastery Ananuri.
We will also visit the known ski resort of Georgia – Gudauri.
Further on we travel to Stepatsmind (Former Kazbegi), which is the center of mountaineering and hiking.
We continue to Kazbegi and the temple Gergetis Tsminda.
Return to Tbilisi and we stop by the road to have dinner in the village of Pasanauri.

FOURTH DAY – VARZIA, BORJOMI AND AKHALTSIKHE

We continue to the Western parts of Georgia, to the coast of the Black Sea.
We visit the city Vardzia which is an cave monestary, built in the 12th century.
Further on we continue to Borjomi, the resort town. On the road we stop by for lunch at a national restaurant where this Georgian cuisine will please you with the most tasty dishes.
In Borjomi we will visit the known Haragauli park where we will try a “medical” water direct from the source.
Later on we arrive in Akhaltsikhe. Here we visit the fortress Rabat.
We have accomodation at a hotel and we eat our dinner here.

FIFTH DAY – KUTAISI

Breakfast at the hotel.

Sightseeing tour in the beautiful Kutaisi, which is the second largest city of Georgia and the center of the Imereti region. We will visit the Bagrati Cathedral, the Monastery Motsameta, and also the monastery of Gelati right outside the town.
We will also visit Satapliya’s cave (underground streams, stalactites and information how stalagmitic occur and traces of dinosaurs).
Accomodation and dinner at the hotel in Kutaisi.

SIXTH DAY – GORI AND UPLISTSIKHE

Breakfast at the hotel.
Check out from the hotel.
Moving to Gori where we visit the Joseph Stalin museum.
Further on we will visit ’Uplistsikhe’ – the amazing city in stone firmament.
Later that evening we return to Tbilisi, we check in at the hotel and have an farewell dinner here.

SEVENTH DAY – TBILISI

Breakfast at the the hotel.
Check out from the hotel.
Visit of the “Dry Bridge” even called “Sukhoy Bridge”. This bridge connected the right and left coast of the Kura river.
Later on; transfer to the airport.
Completion of service.
